High-bandwidth fixed wireless - Wireless products

Communications News, August, 2003

AB-Full Access is a fixed wireless broadband platform that is spectrum and data-rate scalable, enabling large enterprises to trade off system gain with spectral efficiency and channel availability for optimal network connectivity. Operating in the 5.725-GHz to 5.850-GHz ISM band, it delivers aggregate rates up to 310 Mbps at distances up to 20 miles. A common platform supports plug-in, scalable 100 Base-TX Ethernet and 155-Mbps OC-3 SONET interfaces. The Ethernet option provides selectable data rates of 25-, 50- and 100-Mbps of full duplex, or 50-, 100- and 200-Mbps aggregate throughput; while the OC-3 option delivers 155-Mbps full-duplex or 310-Mbps aggregate throughput. In addition to these two payload options, the system provides auxiliary T-1 wayside channels, allowing the extension of PBX connectivity between buildings without additional leased-line costs.--Axxcelera
