SNMP-managed encryption - Wireless products

Communications News, August, 2003

Designed for remote offices, warehouses and WLANs in a distributed corporate environment, the AirFortress AF1100 provides a fast and secure connection between access points and the wired LAN. The product is certified under the U.S. government's FIPS 140 cryptographic validation process and is compatible with 802.11 and 802.16 LAN and point-to-point connections, as well as legacy 900-Mhz wireless industrial systems. An integrated set of components provides user privacy, access control, authentication and link-layer integrity to guard against network intrusion, data intercept and denial-of-service attacks. The security-management system allows for configurable policies for both users and devices, and can also integrate with corporate policy systems, such as RADIUS.--Fortress Technolgies
