Communications News, August, 2003

The Tasman 1004 router is a WAN connectivity solution that offers built-in scalability in bandwidth, functionality and performance. The four built-in T-1 or E-1 ports can be activated as needed. With 300 MHz of processing power, the system delivers sustained, bidirectional wire-speed performance at 64-byte-size packets. A Full Layer 2 software set of advanced services can be activated when needed, including PPP/MLPPP, FR/MFR and HDLC, advanced routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, RIPv2, and BGP4), and high-value applications, including QoS, VLAN tagging/forwarding, NAT, packet filter and monitoring/diagnostics capabilities.--Tasman Networks
