RF-field strength detector. Network testing products

Communications News,  August, 2003

Intended for wireless computer, networking and wireless surveillance installations, the ZC Model 270 measures baseline RF levels, RFI signals, and hot and cold spots. The data can be used to optimize transmit-and-receive sites and help identify hacker-site locations. The unit is designed for microwave/UHF/VHS applications spanning 10 MHz to 4.5 GHz. With a maximum sensitivity of 100 ~V, it measures to baseline noise levels of RF and detects the weakest signals that just exceed that baseline level. LINEAR and 60-dB LOG detection modes are adjusted by a variable 26-dB attenuator. Antenna inputs are electronically switched between a SMA coax input and two internal, fixed antennas.--Alan Broadband
