Communications News, August, 2003
Designed for data centers, local campuses and distributed organizations, OSA Server Manager now provides Linux customers with last-mile management software. Users can perform remote management, monitoring, diagnostics and recovery at different phases of a system lifecycle: pre-boot, OS-present and OS-unresponsive. The system utilizes IPMI, which defines a common interface to how vendors monitor their system hardware and sensors, control system components and log important system events, allowing administrators to remotely manage and recover failed systems. Server management is provided independent of the state or type of OS and CPU, as long as there is power to the server.--OSA Technologies
