Communications News, August, 2008

Quick Shrink Wrap (QSW) repair sleeves permit permanent repair of minor damage to cable insulation without requiring connectors to be removed from cable. The black, adhesive-backed polyolefin wraparound sleeves are available in flat sheets with widths of 60 mm or 100 mm and lengths of 100 mm, 200 mm, 300 mm and 400 mm.

With a continuous operating temperature of-45[degrees]C to 110[degree]C, the sleeves have minimum shrink temperature of 70[degrees]C, with full recovery at 130[degrees]C. QSW sleeves install with a small propane torch, heat gun or production oven.--Tyco Electronics
