CAT 5e patch cords - Racks, raceways and tools

Communications News, Sept, 2002

Designed for Ethernet and analog video over CAT 5e applications, the CAT 5e Patch Cables are composed of four pairs of 24-AWG stranded-copper conductors with PVC jackets. Conductors are wired to gold-plated RJ-45 plugs, in accordance with the TIA/EIA 568B standard. Molded strain-relief boots eliminate conductor stress and intermittent network faults, and are no wider than an RJ-45 plug to fit into tight patch panels. Flexible clip shields prevent catching when cables are removed, and nine colors are available for color-coded installations.--Network Technologies
