24-dBi antenna system - Antennas and wireless devices

Communications News, Sept, 2002

The PAWDC-24 is a directional antenna system that incorporates a two-piece aluminum die-cast parabolic grid-type antenna reflector with the PMPF, patented 50-ohm passive feed dipole. Applications include 2.4-GHz ISM band uses, wireless Internet access, point-to-point repeaters, streaming video, wireless local loop, wireless bridges and point-to-multipoint receive sites. Dipoles come in two basic configurations, PMPF-xx with integral N-type female connector and PMPF-xxP with 24" pigtail equipped with an N-type male connector, or PMPF-xxPF with an N-type female connector. The antenna reflector and PMPF dipole can be bought separately, and a heavy-duty, adjustable, galvanized tilt bracket simplifies installation. The bracket accommodates poles from 1" up to 2.5" outer diameter. Each reflector comes with stainless steel hardware and complete assembly instructions.--Pacific Wireless
