Communications News, Sept, 2003
The Power Tower XL combines power distribution, remote power control and power measurement into one zero-U or rack-mount enclosure. The unit features a new HTML GUI that allows any or all connected equipment to be rebooted with one click, including dual power-supply servers. The device supports up to four 30-A power feeds and up to 32 power-outlet receptacles, all remotely controllable via the HTML interface, Telnet, SNMP or serial interface. A current monitor provides an accurate, real-time measurement of the current draw of all the devices connected. The monitor can be viewed by the network manager through the user interface screen, as well as locally through a digital display indicator on the face of the enclosure. The power-outlet receptacles power up in two-second intervals, allowing each connected device to safely boot up.--Server Technology
