The Application Router 1000 simplifies the process with which business applications share information, regardless of protocols and data formats. This special-purpose hardware device handles all the protocol conversion, data format conversion and rules-based routing of information necessary to support business-integration needs. The router supports a variety of standard and custom data and communication formats. Configuration is completely standards-based, allowing import and export of XML formats from other standards-compliant tools. The device is as simple to install as a network router and, like a network router and features built-in management capabilities that enable easy configuration, management and upgrades.
