The Chazen Companies has implemented a new communications infrastructure from NEC Unified Solutions designed to support improved voice features, videoconference capabilities and intra-office collaboration. Headquartered in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Chazen is a professional services provider of technical expertise in engineering, surveying, environmental and planning for government entities.

NEC's customized hybrid IP/TDM platform and services model transformed Chazen's four independent communications systems onto a single, scalable network. "The tangible results of the customized communications system clearly addressed the unique demands of our organization," says Gary Aber, director, utility design and inspection, Chazen Companies.
