Airline Industry Information, Dec 23, 1999

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The UK Civil Aviation Authority has fully certified the Super 27 re-engining programme for import and registry, which means that airlines based in the UK can now import and register Super 27's as well as convert existing G-registered 727s to the Super 27 configuration.

The programme will apparently extend the life of 727-200 aircraft through the installation of new nacelles and engines produced by BFGoodrich Aerostructures and Pratt&Whitney.
