Frequent flyer miles have apparently become so popular that people are now including them in their wills.

Miles earned through airline incentive programmes are also being fought over as part of divorce cases according to The Lawyers Weekly USA, which indicated that frequent flyer miles are classed as an `emotional issue` in divorce situations.

In the case of wills, people have caught on that the miles are transferable and are now not only willing them to people and organisations, such as charities, but are also starting to stipulate the purpose for which they should be used, including flying their children to college.
