A British Airways flight from London-Heathrow to Miami was delayed for over seven hours on 11 December after playing cards featuring Arabic text were found in the toilet of a Boeing 747 aircraft.

The cards were discovered just after the flight, which was carrying 329 passengers, had been given the all-clear by security staff and had been moved from its stand.

The Arabic text on the cards was later found to be a calendar, and the flight, which was delayed because it missed its 1245 local time take-off slot, was thoroughly searched again before taking off at 2015 local time PA News reported.
