SAS to conduct trial of Bluetooth application

SAS, the Scandinavian airline, in co-operation with the Swedish communications supplier Ericsson, has developed a system to enable passengers to receive flight information directly to their mobile phones using Bluetooth technology.
The solution will be able to send information such as departure times, gate information and delays.
SAS is to select 10 frequent travellers to be equipped with a Bluetooth phone from Ericsson for a month-long trial at Arlanda airport in Stockholm, Sweden.
