Australia's Macquarie Bank underwrites Cintra stake in Bristol airport

Macquarie Bank Ltd of Australia has underwritten a 50% stake in Bristol International Airport, UK.
The bid for the airport was lodged with Spanish international concession company, Cintra Concesiones de Infrastructuras de Transporte SA, and the successful partnership was announced on 19 December. Cintra will acquire the stake with Macquarie Bank underwriting the balance through an investment of about AUD100m according to Asia Pulse.
The airport's existing management team will stay in place and Macquarie Bank's airports division will oversee the airport's strategic direction and business management.
