Airlines increase flights to Bangkok over New year period

The Airports Authority of Thailand (AAT) has reported an increase in flights to Bangkok by domestic and international carriers.
Pradit Mongkolapibal, the AAT Managing Director, stated that some 144 extra flights had been added for the New Year period, with 115 of these international services. Thai Airways International added the most flights, followed by Uzbekistani Airlines.
Some 34,460 passengers are expected to travel to and from Bangkok during the New Year holidays, with international tourist arrivals expected to increase by 28,207 according to Xinhua News Agency.
