After preparing for a showdown with the Air Line Pilots Association, its pilots` union, Midwest Express Airlines announced on 12 February that the two groups had reached a tentative contract agreement.

Members of the union will vote on the contract within a week but no details of the contract have been released.

The tentative agreement meant that no industrial action was taken by the pilots over the weekend as previously expected.
