Brazilian carrier Viacao Aerea Sao Paulo (VASP) has indicated that it will return four leased aircraft as it struggles to repay its debts.
A court order has already seen two of the carrier`s aircraft seized and now VASP will return four of the eight MD-11 aircraft that it uses on its international services.
In conjunction with the return of aircraft VASP will probably also reduce the number of flights to New York and Toronto.
Further, VASP will sack about 110 employees due to the flight reductions according to the Associated Press.
