Dassault Aviation, the French aerospace group, has started operating its civilian and military aircraft-manufacturing operations as separate divisions.

The civilian operation, which assembles Falcon business jets will be called Falcon, while the military operations will be entitled `Defence.`

The separation of the units does not include the creation of two distinct legal identities, so earnings will not be reported separately according to the Associated Press.
