The Scandinavian airline SAS has launched a booking service for users of WAP-based mobile telephones.
The service enables customers to make flight reservations via mobile phones, to look up timetables and the actual departure and arrival times for SAS aircraft.
The new service is initially available only to a group of selected corporate customers. During the trial period the service will also be restricted to the booking of ticketless air travel through SAS's prepaid and invoice-based travel systems.
