Airbus sales outstrip Boeing for 1999 - Brief Article

According to Airbus, the company has achieved higher sales figures than its American counterparts, Boeing, for 1999.
Over the year Airbus received orders for 476 new aircraft, the second best total for Airbus, while Boeing received 391. According to Reuters this gives Airbus 55% of the total market for the year and is Airbus' second best year in its history.
However, Boeing's deliveries for 1999 equalled 620, more than double that of Airbus' 294 delivered aircraft.
