Plans for civilian Antonov-70 model launched - Brief Article

The Ukranian aircraft design bureau Antonov has announced that it will be producing a civilian version of its Antonov-70 military transport aircraft in 2001, with full production expected to commence in 2002.
Production of the aircraft, codenamed An-70T, will allow Antonov to replace obsolete Soviet-made cargo aircraft, and will be able to carry 35 tonnes of cargo over a distance of 3,800km at a speed of 740km/hour.
