After already starting legal proceedings against Cable News Network (CNN) and the Chicago Tribune, Air Zimbabwe is now gearing up for a fight with British publication, The Express.

The African airline is objecting to an article published on 24 December 1999 in the Express that claimed Air Zimbabwe had one of the worst safety records for an international airline, though no figures were provided. Airlines from Asia, South America, the Middle East and Africa were also implicated as having `a high death rate` in the article which was allegedly published alongside another reporting on the possible banning of Korean Air from the UK.

Air Zimbabwe has apparently already contacted the British newspaper expressing its displeasure and is demanding an apology to correct the article, otherwise it will be considering legal action.
