Qantas launches `Getaway Fare` sale for USA-Australia/New Zealand flights

Australia`s Qantas Airways has introduced a new `Getaway Fare` sale for travel from the USA to Australia and New Zealand.
Passengers can fly from Los Angeles or San Francisco to Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney from USD1,198 or from USD1,148 to Auckland. Travel for weekend departures is priced from USD1,268 for Australia and USD1,218 for New Zealand.
Travellers flying from New York City through code share services can fly to Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney from USD1,498 or Auckland from USD1,448 on weekdays, or USD1,568 on weekends to Australia and USD1,518 to New Zealand.
Honolulu passengers can also fly to Australia from USD998 on weekdays or USD1,068 on the weekend.
Tickets must be purchased by 16 February for travel from 20 February through 16 April 2000, with a minimum stay of seven days required and a maximum of one month.
