The Russian government is expected to adopt a decree regarding the leasing of aircraft.
According to the Director-General of the Russian Aerospace Agency, the resolution will outline the leasing mechanism through which the state will grant Aeroflot-International Airlines and Transaero, two Russian carriers, guarantees of 80-85% of credits.
The loans will be granted by savings bank Sberbank and Vneshekonombank, the bank for external economic activities, respectively.
Aeroflot will apparently use the money to build ten Ilyushin Il-96-300 aircraft to a total amount of USD120m, while Transaero will build ten Tu-204 aircraft for a value of USD60m according to Itar-Tass.
