AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Northrop Grumman's Electronic Sensors and Systems Sector (ES3) and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have agreed terms for the early exercise of a contract option to begin production of a new weather radar detection capability in Northrop Grumman's ASR-9 airport surveillance radar.

VARIG Brazilian Airlines will hold three Internet auctions over the next two months to allow travellers to bid for flight tickets from New York and Miami to destinations in Brazil. US Airways passengers who made alternative travel arrangements prior to 25 March because of last week's strike threat can reinstate their prior travel arrangements with the airline without paying additional charges.
