Boeing has reached a tentative contract agreement with 300 truck and bus drivers in the Seattle area.
Subject to ratification the contract provides for a USD2,500 bonus and annual raises on 3%. It also shortens the length of service needed to reach the top of the pay scale and improves the terms under which employees can retire with full benefits.
The drivers, who transport visitors, equipment and aircraft parts between Boeing plants in the area, are due to vote on the proposal on 1 April.
