Avia Jet Charter aircraft makes emergency landing - Brief Article

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

An Australian airliner of Avia Jet Charter carrying one passenger and two crew members was forced to make an emergency landing at the airport of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on the island of Sakhalin on Thursday 11 May.

The charter flight landed 20 minutes after take-off because of technical problems after a decision made by crew commander Murray Dutt-Weston.

The aircraft had been chartered by the Exxon company to make charter flights between Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and the Sapporo, Japan
