Victor Sharan, the regional director for Air Pacific, has indicated that the carrier intends to maintain its services from Brisbane, Australia to Nandi, Fiji despite the current unrest in Fiji.

Sharan stated that the airline was experiencing some restrictions to its operations, such as uplifting freight and mail, but does not see passenger services to Brisbane ceasing at this time. The carrier operated about 18 weekly services.

Meanwhile, Ansett, which operates from Brisbane to Fiji once a week, will also continue flights subject to demand according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
