A United Airlines flight operating between San Francisco, USA and Osaka, Japan was forced to make an emergency landing at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on 15 November after smoke apparently filled one of the Boeing 747's kitchens.

The flight had 227 people on board and landed safely. Passengers were disembarked and there were no injuries reported, according to Reuters.

A spokesperson for the airport stated that there had been 'some kind of odour in the cabin,' however no further details were available.
