Police at Tokyo's Narita airport arrested two Thai women on 20 December for trying to illegally enter Japan dressed as Japan Airlines (JAL) ground staff.

The two women had not only masqueraded as JAL employees, but also possessed fake permits that allowed them to enter restricted areas at Narita airport. The women have indicated to police that they got the uniforms from a Japanese man who accompanied them to Narita from Bangkok, according to Kyodo News.

The incident is apparently the third time this year that Thai nationals have tried to enter Japan through Narita dressed as JAL employees.
