Boeing to acquire Australian component maker

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Boeing Co's Australian unit has said it will acquire Hawker de Havilland, the Australian aviation component manufacturer, from Tenix International Pty Ltd.

The three companies are expected to finalise the acquisition, which will mean that Boeing will own a component maker in Australia for the first time, before the end of the month, reported The Associated Press.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
