AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Northwest Airlines has begun accepting members for its online programme called nwa.com Club and enrollment is now available through to 31 October 2000. An annual membership fee of USD35 applies with membership open to residents of the USA with a valid credit card. Applicants must also be members of Northwest Airlines` WorldPerks frequent flyer programme.

Air Canada has issued a clarification stating that the tentative agreement reached with the Canadian Auto Workers on 29 September is a two-year extension to an existing agreement that expires in 2002. The extension means the agreement will expire in March 2004.

A bomb threat delayed an Emirates Airlines flight from Cairo, Egypt to Dubai, UAE for 2.5 hours on 2 October. Cairo airport security officials inspected the carrier`s Boeing 777 aircraft and passengers` luggage after receiving a telephone threat, but did not find any explosives according to Dow Jones News.

America West Airlines has added a new component to its web site that allows FlightFund frequent flyer members to access their account information online at http://www.americaweat.com. Members can now check current mileage balance, current membership level and the number of miles earned towards 2001 Elite status.
