University course on airline food planned for Surrey University

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The position of 'professor of airline food' is to be created at Surrey University due to a postgraduate course on the USD10bn-per-year industry being launched.

The course is to be funded by a GBP500,000 donation from the airline catering industry. A further GBP1m grant from Surrey University will fund the necessary research required.

The University is currently searching for the correct candidate. It is expected that the successful applicant will be of high calibre and able to combine academic achievement with experience of airline catering according to BBC News.
