Aircraft leasing companies merge

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Aircraft leasing companies debis AirFinance of the Netherlands and AerFi of Ireland have agreed to merge to form what will be the world`s third largest company in the aircraft leasing sector, according to the two companies.
debis AirFinance will acquire all of AerFi`s outstanding ordinary share capital in an all-cash offer of USD750m and will run the company under its own name. The combined company will be headquartered in Amsterdam with other offices in Shannon, Ireland; Malmo, Sweden; and Fort Lauderdale/Florida, USA.
