AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Commencing 1 June Ontario International Airport, California will no longer accept cheque payments at all of its parking lots. The airport will accept debit and credit card payments where 'No Cheques Accepted' signs are placed at parking lot entry areas.

Continental Airlines, a US carrier, took delivery of its first Boeing 737-900 aircraft on 31 May. The aircraft is one of 36 new Boeing jets that the carrier is due to receive during 2001.

The latest quarterly airfare survey by American Express has indicated that, with the exception of Australia, airfares increased throughout the Asia-Pacific region from April through June 2001. The survey also suggested that airline ticket prices could increase following a commercial agreement between Australian carriers Qantas Airways and Impulse Airlines, according to AsiaPulse.

AAS Travel Services, an airline support services company, has formed a new partnership with Skycar and will now offer a new chauffeur-driven service for customers of Continental Airlines at London-Stansted airport in the UK.

Delta Express, the low-fare carrier of Delta Air Lines, has launched a fare sale for travel between Boston and Florida, with tickets starting from USD95 each way. Tickets must be purchased by 15 June for travel through 30 September 2001. Other restrictions and charges apply.
