The depressurisation of a Pakistan International Airlines Airbus 300 aircraft last week has forced the state-run carrier to test its entire fleet of Airbus Industrie A300 and A310 aircraft.

The airline indicated on 1 June that the tests had been completed successfully and that the airworthiness of the fleet had been confirmed, according to Reuters. Aircraft were grounded in phases so that the tests could be carried out.

The process was prompted by a 25 May incident, during which a PIA A300 flight carrying 200 passengers was aborted shortly after takeoff because of depressurisation. The airline has stated that the fault was found near the bulkhead that separates the toilet and the cockpit.
