AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Air Canada has reinforced the cockpit doors on all of its 221 aircraft in service. The new measures consist of a security bar - designed by Air Canada's engineering team - fitted on the cockpit door in each aircraft.

Delta Air Lines' web site, http://www.delta.com, has passed USD1bn in 2001 ticket sales revenue. The carrier expects online sales to account for around 10% of its total ticket sales by the end of the year.

America West Airlines has introduced one-stop self-service check-in kiosks at the Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix. The kiosks are designed to automate and speed up the check-in process for domestic passengers.

Regional Australian carrier Hazelton Airlines has received four bids, according to the administrator Michael Humphris. The identity of the bidders is being withheld pending an examination of the bids, all of which had a number of conditions attached.

French airline Air Corsair will reportedly resume flights to Cuba next month after a two year break. An Airbus A300 and a Boeing 747 will cover a Paris-Havana and a Paris-Varadero route.
