SAS job losses include 160 pilots

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2001 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
The Scandinavian airline SAS is to dismiss 160 pilots.
The job losses are part of the 1,100 announced by the airline last month following the terrorist attacks on the United States and the subsequent fall in passenger numbers.
SAS says it hopes that most of the cuts will be achieved through voluntary redundancies, reported the Norwegian daily newspaper Aftenposten.
