Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, will introduce its new ERJ 170 regional jet aircraft as scheduled on 29 October.

Embraer has 82 firm orders and 130 options for the 70-seat aircraft, which is part of the family including the 98-seat ERJ 190-100 and the 108-seat ERJ 190-200. The aircraft manufacturer has invested about USD850m in the new line and the roll out of the ERJ 170 will take place at Embraer`s Sao Jose dos Campos plant, Reuters reported.

The first deliveries of the aircraft will occur in about one year`s time.
