A Kenyan pilots' union has reportedly called on the government to review its decision to suspend and sack the striking air traffic controllers, claiming that the move has made the Kenyan airspace unsafe.
Senior civil aviation managers have been manning airport control towers since the strike began nearly two weeks ago. However the Kenya Airline Pilots Association believes the move is unsafe as the managers have not operated air control services for numerous years.
The government has, however, dismissed the pilots' concerns, reported Reuters.
