The UK Government has requested the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France to rerun a former case concerning flights between 2300 and 0600 local time from London's Heathrow Airport.

Previously, the court ruled that night-flights between 2300 and 0600 were a breach of human rights. However the court has now granted permission for the case to be heard by a grand chamber of the court.

The case was originally brought to court by the Heathrow anti-noise group Hacan ClearSkies, which represents eight residents, reported PA News.
