A senior executive at Stockholm's Arlanda airport in Sweden has reportedly been detained in custody, suspected of being involved in a major theft case.

The police have detained four persons, three men and a woman, suspected of being involved in the case. The four, who were detained yesterday (3 April), have had access to all areas at the airport where valuable items have been stored, according to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. The thefts are thought to have carried on for more than a year, with one of the suspects working with the airport director as his closest senior executive.

All four suspects have denied being involved in the case. The thefts are thought to include cash paid by smaller airlines for permission to depart from the airport. A fifth person is reportedly also suspected of being involved.
