China's civil aviation administration is to restrict discounts on air tickets.
During a conference last week, the administration reportedly pushed 22 major domestic airlines into signing a no-discount agreement. The airlines promised that they would not violate related ticket-price policies covering 113 domestic air routes, including the most lucrative routes.
According to the administration's vice-minister, a stable ticket price will allow domestic airlines to seek a long-term healthy development, reported Xinhua News Agency.
