Authorities at Kingston's international airport in Jamaica have detained 11 men after they were found to be smuggling cocaine internally.

Four of the men were detained on 29 January and seven were stopped on 31 January. All of the men have been hospitalised as a precaution in case the ingested cocaine packets burst. The four men detained on 29 January have so far passed 111 packets of cocaine, while the other seven men have so far passed 266 packets.

The police have not yet determined the weight of the drugs and the men have not been charged at the moment, reported The Associated Press.
