US Airways offering extended weekend fares to Charlotte

US Airways has introduced new extended weekend fares for travel to Charlotte, N.C., as part of a cooperative agreement between the airline, the city of Charlotte and the Charlotte Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Customers visiting Charlotte can purchase fares as low as USD138 round trip from some cities. To qualify for the extended weekend fares - valid for travel from almost 80 cities in the US with nonstop flights to US Airways' hub at Charlotte/Douglas International Airport - customers must originate travel any Thursday through Saturday and return Sunday through Tuesday, with all travel completed during the same weekend and no later than 14 May 2002. One Saturday night stay is required and tickets must be purchased at least seven days before departure and no later than 4 March 2002.
Customers who purchase the sale fares online through US Airways' web site - http://www.usairways.com - will receive an additional discount of up to 5%.
