A 30-year-old man aboard an Indian Airlines flight has been arrested after he tried to set himself on fire and began shouting pro-Osama bin Laden slogans.
The man, Moinuddin Khan, took out a cigarette lighter and started burning his skin soon after the flight - travelling from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to the southern Indian city of Hyderabad - took off. Khan also shouted "Osama zindabad, Advani down, down" (Long live Osama and down with LK Advani, Indian home minister).
Passengers and crew immediately overpowered Khan, who was handed over to the police when the aircraft landed at Hyderabad. A city magistrate has referred Khan to a mental hospital, reported United Press International.
