America West changes ticketing policies

America West Airlines is altering some of its ticketing policies.

From 16 January 2002 customers purchasing electronic tickets will be able to do so through several additional payment options. E-ticket payment methods with include cash, cheque, credit card, America West transportation vouchers and gift certificates, as well as Senior Saver Pack tickets.

Those customers who chose to have paper tickets when the travel itinerary qualifies for electronic ticketing will be charged a USD10 fee. The fee has been implemented to offset costs including additional ticket stock, manual collection and processing and postage.
