AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
A new text message service has been launched by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and SingTel Mobile that delivers flight information to passengers.
Subscribers to the service are required to send a text message with their flight number and date. A return text message is then received with information such as the terminal number, arrival/departure time, gate number, belt number and status of the flight. The traveller can also opt to receive subsequent changes in the flights schedule.
Each SMS will cost SGD0.10 until 19 September 2002 and SGD0.20 after that date.
